VIPs visit Salzburg
Salzburg, Austria
These wonderful photos (1950s) were provided by Dr. Hubert Prigl, Vienna, Austria. Mr. Prigl wrote his dissertation on the history of the Langenlebarn (Tulln) air base. He was at the air base between 1978-87, first as a schoolboy and later as a member of the Austrian Air Force. He is member of the Tulln Air Base Reunion Group.

3. Memorial Service for Capt John J. Hayes, USFA Hqs, who was killed on December 28, 1954, when his L-17 airplane crashed during a flood level observation flight. Pfc William L. Pruett, 7689 Hq/Hq Co, Aviation Pltn, who accompanied the Capt also perished in the crash. (125 KB)
